Not sure of the wear factor yet, but something to keep an eye on.  The "bruxer" type of crown idea.  With my experience thus far, e.max is definitely a reliable material for the challenged occlusal situation as long as there is adequate ceramic thickness.  From what I am hearing in the industry, part of a material's wear compatibility factor is defined by the smoothness and polishability of the material.  Zirconia is a very smooth material.

It happens...open contact on a beautifully milled restoration. Otherwise, it is perfect.  Add-on porcelain technique is simple and can often be fired in conjunction with the glaze or crystallization cycle.  See webcast posted to chapter 6.

  • Mixing palette for stains and glaze with transparent or black lid (Renfert)
  • 30 small wells for stains and glaze.
  • Great cover to use while storing stain and glaze to prevent drying out and keep contents fresh for continual multiple uses.

Minor update: - optimized insertion axis calculation Sometimes during calculation of the restoration proposal an error message came up (like: 'error during calculation').  This has been fixed with this service pack.  There is no new upload software to the MC XL with this service patch. Happy New Year to all my CEREC Liftoff colleagues.  I am looking forward to this coming year and the CEREC world.  We will continue to evolve and add to CEREC Liftoff so you will value this site as a dental mentoring site for years to come. I spend as much time in the dental clincial trenches with CEREC chairside as I do teaching.  So what I bring to the mentoring table is what I do on a daily basis in the practice.  CEREC Liftoff is evolving to be more than CEREC, but also my practice style, systems, and philosophies. Thanks so much for signing up as members.  Each one of you are valuable. Happy New Year! Sincerely James

I just completed this case.  Subgingival margins on the distal due to cervical decay issues. Laser tissue retraction with the VITA Scan Spray will create very crisp and enhanced margins for optical capture. Restoration:  Full crown, e.max cement with SpeedCEM.

Just seated this e.max B1 HT veneer case. Prepared and imaged in the late afternoon of my clinical day, desensitized prepared teeth, and seated the veneers the next morning. Worked from a wax-up as the guide for tooth proposal.  This case will soon be posted in CEREC Liftoff Chapter 9.

For 3.85 version and prior, I still prefer the Correlation Jig when taking a veneer optical capture for multiple maxillary incisor veneers.  The new posted video in chapter 9 will review the capture "Correlation Jig" technique used in the Klim office. Benefits of Correlation Jig 1. Fewer optical captures required. 2.  Ideal 60 degree capture of veneer preparation(s). 3.
