The Extra Fine mill will provide a "pressable" margin and milled restoration.  This video will explain how to set up the bur sets and clinical indications for the extra fine (EF) mill.  This is one feature with the Omnicam and Primescan CEREC systems I could not practice without!

Is it possible to design and create "pressable like" veneers with CEREC?  The answer is YES.  I do this all the time with razor blade margins and no chipping.  This video with reviewing via case review the criteria for no prep or minimally prepared veneer applications, design tips, milling approach, and finishing protocols for thin e.max veneers and no marginal chipping.

Both the Omnicam and the PrimeScan are incredible scanning devices and will provide accurate information to master shape and form in the CEREC software and resulting mill.  The fundamentals for success are still biofunction, preparation form, material selection, and finish. I am blessed to use the Dentsply Sirona system to optimize my clinical flow and success factors. This video is a case review for using the bracketing technique to accomplish and provide certainty for ceramic blend and case closure for the patient.

This video will review the concept behind the Ivoclar Navigational App which is a free smart device App download.  I have found this App very helpful in selecting a workable brilliance/shade.  Even though this app is applicable for e.max and the ZirCAD zirconia, I will share several other videos on how to extrapolate for other ceramics such as VITA and Empress. The five ceramic blend factors this video will address are target shade, ceramic thickness, ceramic translucency, preparation shade impact on ceramic selection, and the final blending factor of using cement colors.

Welcome to Ceramic Selection Series Introduction video.  One of the most often asked questions in my classes through the years is material and ceramic color selection.  I will keep adding to this series as new materials hit the market.  My primary goal for this series is to provide a systematic pathway to ceramic and zirconia block color selection for chairside CAD/CAM CEREC users.  The closer the treatment is to the midline, the more critical our ceramic selection becomes.  With all-ceramic dentistry, there is more than color.  Other factors that will impact our ceramic selection is restoration thickness, the color of the preparation,

My CAD/CAM block selection is primarily determined by desired brilliance for the incisal or cusp one-half of the restoration. This tutorial will review my primary strategy that guides my block color selection.

One of the features in CEREC I appreciate the most is designing and creating customized abutment/crown one or two piece restorations.  CEREC 4.52 has been a smooth acquisition, design, and production process for implant restorations. Have been very pleased!  One hassle for implant/abutment in CEREC 4.6 has been minimal thickness defaults and not being able to modify the metric settings for unique implant design and milled cases.  As a result, some cases cannot be milled.  This hassle in 4.6 has been frustrating for me. However, I did keep 4.52 on my system which has been seamless for implant design and production.  So my go-to CEREC

There is now a sprue location preset in the CEREC software that provides default time savings.  In Configurations under Settings, the software allows the user to preset sprue location preference for veneer, anterior crowns, premolars, and molar.  I do appreciate this.  In the heat of the day with a busy schedule, sprue location can easily be overlooked before the mill.  If the sprue location can be placed other than a proximal surface, significant time will be saved, and the user can count on the restorations proximal contacts fitting well without adjustings.
