With the current milling algorithms and bur options, we can mail “pressable” mills. This video documents my optimal milling techniques. View Video

I am often asked the question, why is there sensitivity after e.max restorations are placed. Even when using a good adhesive primer.  Watch the video and find my perspective.  In general, the adhesive systems in our current market portfolio perform very well and have significantly diminished post cementation sensitivity.  So why may we occasionally observe this event in our restorative clinical theaters.  For Bluecam and Omnicam users, it comes down to over drying and desiccating the dentin prior to imaging.  In this video, I will review some pointers in getting around the imaging issue.  I do agree, the dryer the image field, the better

I do appreciate the all zirconia restorations and provide quite a number of them as a treatment option in my clinical theater.  The primary benefit of the all zirconia restoration for me is the conservative crown prep and biomechanical “muscle” material behavior.  In the next year, we will find an abundant of new brands and translucency options being introduced to the market.  We will need to decipher recommended prep style and reduction demands for each brand (strength).

The prep reduction metrics will be determined by brand and strength.  They are not all the same.  For instance, the ZirCAD LT recommends 0.6 minimal thickness

This video will document how to remove a bonded e.max crown.  This can be a tough exercise.  Using the right burs is critical.  View Video

The "WAVE" cementation technique will ease cement cleanup.  Some cement brands are designed for the wave technique.  Variolink Esthetic dual cure is one of them. This video will walk through the flow of the wave cementation technique from soft tissue conditioning through the cement cleanup stage.

It is simple to add a contact when needed to zirconia with GC Luster Paste.  Infact, this is now my go to method for all my ceramic restorations, (VITA ceramics, Empress, and e.max).  It is very fast and predictable.

Zirconia cementation is simplistic. The post-cementation caveat is the interphase between the cement and the internal surface of the Zirconia crown.  Zirconia is slick to cement.  Conditioning Zirconia with a metal primer is only effective if the phospholipids can be removed.  Ivoclean removes the

Working subgingival is nothing new in the clinical theater.  This video will document bur choice and soft tissue management options when working under the gum line using the Sirona Omnicam digital camera.

This video will introduce the Meisinger Luster Twist Polishers, ideal for polishing the subgingival surfaces of the CEREC e.max abutment. Other talking points will be shaping in the abutment crown, and refining the crown/marginal seam before firing the the abutment
