Designed and fabricated an e.max Impulse V1 abutment/crown for screw retention on a Ti-base platform. CEREC 4.0 facilitates the tools for designing ideal emergence contours. It has never been better. Had a great CEREC 4.0 workshop today! Milled a lot of e.max and LAVA Ultimate restorations. The photo display restorations were designed and finished by one of the attendees (LAVA Ultimate 3M blocks). Great job! CEREC 4.0 is moving CAD/CAM dentistry to a new level of precision and morphological reality with the Biogeneric software. Thanks Sirona for providing the field with incredible equipment/software and Ivoclar, VITA, and 3M for reliable materials.Read more

The new optical algorithms provides more flexibility for better stitching between captured images and camera angles while taking the optical impression. This is a significant update for CEREC 4.0. In fact, Dr. Klim considers optical impression of 4.0 to be the most impacting for CEREC use in the clinical theater. Read more

Keep an eye on LAVA Ultimate. My first few experiences have been impressive. I used it six times this last week with incredible fits. My current LAVA Ultimate application is for inlays. The 4.0 fits are incredible and chairside time efficiency is very streamlined. View WebcastRead more
