ABOUT CADSTAR TRAINING INSTITUTE
CADStar is a learning institute, directed by James Klim DDS, created to develop and educate the dental team systematic techniques to simplify chair side CAD/CAM (CEREC) dentistry. It has been projected that CAD/CAM dentistry will become the dominate restorative process in dentistry for years to come.
CADStarTM will show you how to design and fabricate restorations that equal excellent laboratory results. With the current development in soft and hard ware, the dental team is able to produce superb fitting aesthetic milled restorations. The major dental companies such as Ivoclar/Vivadent, Sirona, VITA, and 3M ESPE are investing significant time and finances in developing our current and future materials for CAD/CAM dentistry. These materials are now and will continue to be the restorative material of choice in physical properties, biocompatibility, durability and aesthetics.
CADstar’s educational format will be hands-on lab and clinical continuums, regional workshops and lectures, and web casts.
The CADStar website primary purpose is to abundantly contribute to the CEREC world and make your dental life more fulfilling. Dr. Klim sees the CEREC technology as the ultimate restoration for the majority of and tooth restorations
About Dr. James Klim
Dr. James Klim is an internationally recognized speaker and teacher of advanced esthetic dentistry. With over 20 years of experience working with all ceramic restorations, Dr. Klim has developed sound clinical techniques that he is now applying to the CEREC process. He is passionate about sharing tools to raise the bar in the CEREC world in an effort to teach his techniques to others.
Graduating Summa cum Laude, valedictorian, from Loma Linda University in 1984, Dr. Klim has been awarded high academic recognition by the Alpha Omega Fraternity and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Society and has received the Prince Award from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. He has been awarded fellowships from the Academy of General Dentistry and Academy of Dental-Facial Esthetics. He is an Accredited member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Having been a CEREC critic for years, Dr. Klim is now a motivated convert. He is a foremost advocate for CEREC technology, speaking at dental venues such as conventions, workshops, webinars, and advance CEREC training.
Currently, Dr. Klim has a full time restorative practice in Santa Rosa, California and operates The CADStar(tm) Institute, dedicated to the educational needs of the CEREC doctor and team. With a number of years teaching post-graduate levels in aesthetic dentistry, he is now using this experience as a certified advanced CEREC/Patterson trainer. His knowledge can help the CEREC oriented office with further integration of CEREC into the practice.
Destiny was meant for Dr. Klim and his fourth-grade classmate, Karie.
After completing their advanced degrees they became re-acquainted and
married. Together, they have strong commitments to their family,
friends, spiritual life, and adopted pets. They enjoy traveling,
camping, remodeling their home, or just reading a good book together.
Karie is completing her PhD in clinical psychology. Dr. Klim assist's
Karie in directing an ongoing series of seminars with a focus on
personal wholeness and relational and marriage enrichment.
